Job Description

Role Overview-

As a Microbiologist in the Frozen Corn Industry, your primary responsibility will be to conduct microbiological testing and analysis to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality. You will work closely with our production team to implement and maintain effective microbiological control measures throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities-

Microbiological Testing-

Perform routine microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using standard methods and techniques.

Environmental Monitoring

Conduct environmental monitoring to identify and mitigate any potential sources of contamination within the production facility.

Pathogen Detection

Utilize molecular techniques such as PCR to detect and quantify pathogenic microorganisms, ensuring that our products are free from harmful bacteria.

Shelf-Life Studies

 Collaborate with the R&D team to conduct shelf-life studies and evaluate the microbial stability of our frozen corn products under various storage conditions.

Regulatory Compliance

 Stay abreast of relevant food safety regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain detailed records of all microbiological testing activities and generate comprehensive reports summarizing findings and recommendations.

Quality Assurance

 Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any microbiological issues or deviations from established standards, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a microbiology role within the food industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in microbiological techniques and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations such as HACCP and GMPs.
